Yokohama maker of performance road and motorsport tyres. Yokohama, has announced the latest model to use its tyres as original equipment. The all-new Nissan 370Z, the replacement to the successful 350Z, will be fitted with the Yokohama ADVAN Sport tyre having already gone on sale in the Japanese domestic market, will be rolled out globally during 2009.

The 370Z replaces the 350Z, the second model to resurrect the famous ‘Z’ brand, signifying Nissan’s sports vehicles. The 350Z was an instant success, with its looks and combination of front engine, rear wheel-drive and instant appeal and the 370Z looks sure to be no different.

The new offering features a 3.7-litre V6 engine, delivering 332bhp to the wheels. Even with its sport suspension, it still requires exceptional tyres to ensure that the highest levels of grip, safety, performance and on-road comfort are maintained. And it’s for these reasons that Nissan selected the Yokohama ADVAN Sport tyre for its newest model.

Sized 225/50R18 and 245/45R18 at the rear, the Sport helps to give instant response to driver inputs, excellent levels of both low and high speed grip and stability in the wet and dry, along with high levels of comfort and low road noise inside the vehicle.

Nissan is the latest manufacturer to choose Yokohama tyres as original equipment (OE) on its vehicles, joining marques such as Porsche, Audi and Bentley in realising the combination of factors that make the ADVAN Sport a perfect choice for such vehicles.

Another car to use Yokohama ADVAN tyres is the Tesla Roadster, the world’s first electric sports car, to provide a combination of performance and safety on one of the most innovative new vehicles for a long time.

The full range of Yokohama ADVAN tyres, including the Sport range is also available as a replacement option for drivers looking for the ultimate road tyres. Various sizes can be ordered from a Yokohama Tyres UK dealer
